The one day workshop is especially designed for couples who have had a previous birth and want to refresh their skills or for very busy first time couples unable to attend the weekly program.  BYO picnic lunch, a variety of teas, coffees, juices and light refreshments are provided. The calmbirth® course imparts the knowledge of birth preparation techniques such as relaxation, visualisation, breathing, positive imagery, attitudes/expectancy to achieve a rewarding easier, more comfortable stress-free birthing experience.

The popular calmbirth® series is structured with clients commencing their first class at about 24 to 34 weeks of pregnancy, allowing time for practice of the techniques during the final weeks before birth. When women birth with the use of deep relaxation, they experience a markedly decreased perception of pain, and are able to reduce anxiety, a key step in eliminating the fear-tension-pain cycle.
