Julie's Baby Care Support Service

The atmosphere is relaxed, with participants kicking off shoes at the door, then entering a very comfortable classroom lounge to rest against cushions. Refreshments are readily available for you and the venue is air-conditioned; snug in winter, refreshing in summer.

The group size for each session is limited to allow for participation and interaction. The course venue is in Sylvania, a southern suburb of Sydney, just 20 minutes drive south of the airport. Parking is easy and there are no steps to climb when you arrive.

This very popular course gives you the information you need to help you make your own choices, with course materials made available, only $30, at cost price. This course is extremely good value and all facilities including Julie's extensive library is made fully available for you. If you've got the time to do it, then the 6 session course is very worthwhile, it's only a couple of hours once a week for six weeks, so it's easy to attend.

It helps signpost the way through the final three months of pregnancy, labour, birth and the first few weeks after the baby is born.

Childbirth and Parenting Two Saturday Condensed Course

For couples who prefer weekend courses - $350 per couple

Two sessions on consecutive Saturdays from 9am to 4pm. Course materials provided at cost price, only $30. This condensed course is one of the most popular courses by far and many couples who intended to book in find they miss out if they leave their enquiry very late in advanced pregnancy. If you find some course dates that suit you then grab the place as quickly as you can in your preferred course so you don't miss out. The ideal is to ring and book (or book online) in your first trimester so you'll be able to attend towards the end of your second trimester. Download brochure

Childbirth and Parenting One-day Super Condensed Sunday Workshop

Sunday from 9am to 4:30pm - $300 per couple

This is the most convenient course as it only involves attendance for one day, starting at 9am and finishing at 4.30pm. It is the most time efficient course available anywhere, covering: Pregnancy, Labour and Birth in the morning, and then Baby care and Parenting during the newborn period, the first twelve weeks, covered very thoroughly in the afternoon. Brilliantly designed for shift workers, very busy couples, particularly those who are very busy with their own business to run and can't spare much time at a course.

This course is also terrific for couples who are wanting to refresh their knowledge, having already had a baby, and now needing to prepare for their second, third, fourth or subsequent baby. It's far more convenient to arrange child care for only one Sunday and so this course suits refreshers quite well. Scroll down for 2010 course dates.

Course materials made freely available as part of the super-condensed package, as well as unlimited variety of teas and coffees and full comprehensive course notes. Places are limited and Julie normally only runs this one day super condensed course once a month or once every two months, so if it's what you're after be sure to book in as quickly as you can to secure your position. This wonderful course imparts the knowledge of birth preparation techniques using the resources the pregnant woman intuitively has within her. Women find it very empowering. calmbirth® class book and CD by (midwife) Peter Jackson are made available at the cost price of $40, for you at the first session, to take home for your own reference and continued practice.

This course imparts the knowledge of birth preparation techniques such as calm focused breathing, relaxation, positive imagery, attitudes/expectancy and safe, natural strategies for reducing medical intervention to achieve a rewarding, easier, more comfortable stress-free birthing experience. Julie offers a baby care support service exclusively for couples who have attended her courses. This is a very convenient in-home support service, where Julie comes to you in your own home and can visit for a couple of hours to provide support, guidance and assistance as requested.
